The Death in Custody Review Service liaises with the PPO on behalf of NHS England to co-ordinate and manage all aspects of the clinical review process. Spectrum receives the initial notification of a prison death from the PPO, assigns an appropriate clinical reviewer from our bank of skilled and experienced professionals, supports the reviewer with any queries that arise during the course of the investigation, receives and quality assures the draft clinical review report and arranges submission of the final report to the PPO within the strict timeframes required.
